 The place where an animal or plant grows and lives naturally is called its habitat. Just like your home, habitats maintain life by giving its occupants the food, water, and shelter they need to survive. On Earth, a variety of habitats can be found. Many different plants and animals that are exclusive to each ecosystem can be found there.
